The Night
- Search houses for pesos, ammo, bandages and salt. You're safe inside: the aswang lose you and wander off.
- Your objectives are at the top right: one a night at first, two from night 4, three from night 8. Finish them all, then get to the jeepney.
- Lose every villager on a rescue night, or the one you were sent for, and the mission fails. You get 3 retries a run.
- Full moons pay more. In a brownout only your gun lights the way: stand still at a lamp post for 5 seconds to switch it on. Walk off and it keeps how far you got.
- The game saves at nights 5, 10, 15 and so on. Quit and Continue takes you back to the last one. Die and the run is over.
- Between nights, Tessie's store sells guns, ammo and supplies, and tunes up your guns.
Monsters
- Aswang. By day they were your neighbours. After dark they turn and hunt. They're fast but go down in a couple of shots.
- Tiyanak. A demon that cries like a lost baby to lure you close, then leaps at you. It's tiny and quick, but one shot kills it.
- Manananggal. She leaves her lower half hidden in a house and flies the night on bat wings. Bullets only stun her: find her lower half and salt it.
- Kapre. A giant who smokes in the old balete trees. It's slow but takes a lot of shots, and one blow throws you back. It pays ₱40.
Villagers (while they follow you)
- Lola heals you 1 HP every 4 seconds.
- Mang lends you a gun you don't have yet, for that night only: he takes it back at the store. If you have every gun, he gives you pesos instead.
- Ate hands you one spare magazine a night, when your gun and its spare ammo are both empty.
- Kuya helps you search: houses pay half as many pesos again, and turn up extra ammo more often.
Tune Up
- At the store, each gun you own can be tuned up: Firepower, Reload Speed, Capacity and Rate of Fire, each in levels that cost more as they go.
Max all four to unlock the gun's Exclusive upgrade:
- Service Pistol
- Critical Shot
- Pump Shotgun
- Wide Choke
- Submachine Gun
- Cripple
- Assault Rifle
- Penetrator
Upgrades are lost when the run ends.
